Climate
Mauritius has a perfect year round subtropical climate with two main seasons. Summer runs from November to April, with temperatures averaging 30ºC. Winter temperatures average 24°C. During winter the temperature can drop several degrees, but there is still plenty of sunshine and it is a very pleasant time of year to visit. Humidity is highest from December to April and less noticable owing to a constant sea breeze. Cyclones, with strong winds and heavy rain, can occur from time to time, normally once a year and usually lasting a couple of days.
