Portugal’s 600km of west-facing Atlantic coastline has the best waves, miles of golden, sandy beaches, and many tiny, rocky coves to explore. The beaches at Ericeira, Peniche and Nazaré are popular with families and surfers. Just a 25 minute drive from the resort, Ericeira’s beaches are all within walking distance of the town square, including Ribeira d’Ilhas - a favourite with surfers and once the host of the world surfing championships.

Golfers will be interested to learn that the Lisbon coast was voted “European Golf Destination of the Year 2007” by IAGTO (the International Association of Golf Tour Operators) and there are 18 golf courses within a 60 minute drive from CampoReal.

Estoril or Cascais and the former royal palaces at Queluz and Sintra are excellent day visitor attractions.

Lisbon is 40 km from CampoReal and is one of Europe’s most dynamic capital cities. As well as an architectural heritage spanning centuries, recent top sporting and cultural events such as Euro 2004 and Expo 1998 have enriched the city with a new vibrancy, with world-class galleries, shopping, restaurants and nightlife.
