Gramacho when combined with its sister resort Vale da Pinta boasts 36 holes of championship golf, a Golf Academy, two clubhouses with restaurants and bars, a supermarket, tennis, bowls, a beauty parlour and 24 hour security.
Planned for the near future are a further 36 holes, a five-star hotel, a full spa complex, another two clubhouses and a kids’ club.

The Pestana Gramacho Golf Course

The Par 72 golf course at Gramacho is recognized as a championship quality course, making it an exciting challenge for players of all handicaps. A frequent host to the Ladies Open, the original nine holes were designed by the famous American golf course architect Ronald Fream and then in 2002, a further nine holes were designed by the former world No 1 golfer Nick Price.

Apart from the fantastic golf on offer, the designers managed to incorporate the traditional landscape by utilizing the natural stone outcrops, historical dry-stone walling and existing ancient trees with some artfully sculpted lakes and bunkers, making Gramacho as attractive as it is enjoyable.

The Gramacho Clubhouse, located in the heart of the resort, offers a full range of services including club and buggy rental, changing rooms, reception, putting green, buggy bar and pro shop, as well as the Clubhouse Restaurant and Bar, which boasts spectacular views of both the Monchique Mountains and the fairway overlooking the 18th hole.

The Golf Academy meanwhile has state-of-the-art facilities including video rooms, custom fitting equipment and an array of bunkers, greens and chipping areas that are guaranteed to improve your game.
